The webmaster invites you to join him in reading chronologically through the entire Bible in a single year! Campbell Morgan once said, "The Bible can be read from Genesis 1 to Revelation 22 at pulpit rate in 78 hours." The commitment each day probably accounts for less time than you would spend on your morning commute! We won't be reading straight through the Bible, however, but instead we will read chronologically in order, from the creation of the world straight through to the end times. As people of God, we should also be people of the Word of God. So join us on this exciting journey through the Word in 2006.

Some things to remember before you get started:

• Carefully choose your translation.You'll be reading for 365 consecutive days! Make sure that it is a translation or paraphrase that is easily understandable, or perhaps one that is new and fresh to you.
• Realize that disruptions will come. Accept the fact that, in all likelihood, at some time during the next year sickness, business, family, or travel will cause you to fall behind in your reading. Read what you can when you can. If you fall behind, try to catch up at the first opportunity. Remember, your mission is to read through the entirety of God's Word. To do it in a year is just a goal. If it takes you fourteen or fifteen months instead of twelve, you will still have accomplished your mission!
• Allow God to apply the scripture to your life. In reading the Scriptures, remember that you are handling the Word of God, not just another book from the store. Approach it prayerfully. Ask God to help you take His Word to heart in ways that will impact the way you live.
